Dear Resident, This week saw officers conducting several arrest attempts for outstanding offenders. On Wednesday our officers went to the home addresses or addresses connected to persons wanted for different offences to conduct enquiries. At one of the addresses the officers located a number of people living in a flat where they were not supposed to be, although the wanted persons were not present officers were able to assist in making sure the persons left the address. Later on in the morning after attending a load more addresses the officers ended up with two persons wanted for fail to appear arrested. This wasn’t the end of the results though as officers had been to other addresses for other wanted persons and these enquiries lead to two further persons handing themselves in as the officers had managed to speak to them and advise the this was the best course of action.
Wednesday also saw the first of two vehicles seized this week. Officers on patrols spotted a vehicle parked up with no number plates. Enquiries in relation to the vehicle showed that it was not stolen but did however have expired vehicle Tax. The officers had the vehicle seized. ![]() On Friday night officers on patrols of ASB hotpots came across a vehicle parked in a dead end near to some grassland. The officers noticed the doors open on the vehicle so drove down to where it was parked. As they got close a person left the vehicle and ran into the fields and could not be located by the officers however upon searching the vehicle a large quantity of cannabis was discovered. The cannabis had been wrapped in packaging which imitates real chocolate and sweets brands. The drugs were seized and the vehicle was seized for no insurance ![]()
